All orders for any items on this website are subject to these terms and conditions.
Orders may be placed by using the secure checkout system on this website or by post or telephone.
Payment can be made by the secure online system by credit/debit card, echeque or bank transfer. Cheques or Postal Order payments are accepted and made payable to “STANLEY SmallCraft”.
PRICES INCUDE DELIVERY & VAT to UK Mainland Only. Please contact us for delivery to Highlands, Islands and N. Ireland.
HOWEVER, DELIVERY IS EXTRA - from £35 - FOR KITS, PART BUILT & COMPLETE BOATS.
Prices displayed on the website are subject to change without prior notice and the checkout system is updated accordingly. If you order and pay the displayed price, in full online through the checkout system, the order is considered confirmed by STANLEY SmallCraft and the price is then fixed and will not change. This is also the case with deposits paid through the checkout system for custom built boats. The final displayed price is fixed and the amount of the balance will not change when it becomes due unless additions are made to the order by the customer. Orders made offline by phone, post or e-invoice are fixed when payment or deposit is received and confirmed within any time constraints given. Written email and posted quotes are valid for 28 days from the date on the quote and payment must be arranged or received within this time to secure the price quoted.
Custom Built Boats - The boat is purchased in two payments, a deposit and final payment, although full payment with the order is an option. The deposit payment secures your boat at the displayed price and specification and the build process is started. The balance due becomes payable when invoiced upon completion and must be paid within 28 days of the invoice date. We send you a photo pack of your finished boat containing between 15 and 30 pictures showing general overall and detailed pictures. However, we expect you may still want to inspect your purchase before payment and this can be arranged by appointment.
Plans - Delivery times are within a maximum of 48hrs of payment for email plans, 7 working days for posted plans (Depending on Royal Mail).
Kits & Builder Packs - Delivery times are quoted in the description and with order confirmation. However, we often rely on third party delivery to us and therefore, delays may occasionally happen. If this happens, we will inform you immediately.
Custom Built Boats – Delivery times are quoted with order confirmation but there can be occasional unexpected delays. If this happens the customer is informed immediately.
In all cases where we use third party delivery services we cannot be held responsible for their delays. Once an item(s) are delivered to the customer, responsibility for condition of the item(s) passes to the customer. Please check deliveries carefully before accepting and notify us immediately of any damage or shortages and mark any delivery note with those details.
4. Order Cancellation.
Orders may be cancelled by the customer within 7 days of the day following the receipt of the goods. Goods for replacement or refund must be returned within 14 days of customer receipt. Costs of any returns will be paid by the customer except where stated otherwise below. Any authorised refunds will be paid within 30 days of receipt of the returned item(s). Please refer to all points below for conditions.
i. in all cases, you must contact STANLEY SmallCraft within 7 days of receipt before returning any items.
ii. Plans - All plans sent by post and electronic deliveries cannot be returned for refund due to ease of copying etc. Please be sure before you buy.
iii. Builder Packs & Kits - may be returned and payment refunded if they are returned to STANLEY SmallCraft in as sold condition.
iv. Boats - may be returned and payment refunded if they are returned to STANLEY SmallCraft in un-used, as sold condition.
v. Damaged Goods – must be notified to STANLEY SmallCraft within 7days of receipt and a replacement or refund will be organised. The customer will pay the return cost of any damaged items but we will re-imburse reasonable costs. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
We endeavour to provide the best service we can but if you have a complaint it should be made by email, post or telephone to STANLEY SmallCraft. We take complaints seriously and will try to resolve them on an individual and personal basis as promptly as we can. If you have a complaint please phone us or email your telephone number and, in both cases, we will call you back and discuss your complaint.
PLANS - Further information.
Email Plans - IMPORTANT. Due to the nature of the product and the easy copying of the same we cannot offer refunds after purchase so, please be sure before you buy. We can only offer refunds on returned faulty cd/dvd dics (which will be independently checked before refund is issued) or items lost in the post where any posted items are sent recorded delivery at customer request.
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information given, the design and plans in the manual are as accurate as possible. The plans have been used to build the boat without any need for amendment or change. As you are the builder, the implementation of the methods of building and actual building of the boat as described in the plans manual are beyond our control. Therefore we cannot be held liable for any incidental or consequential damage resulting from the use of the information, building methods, plans or the boat as described in the plans manuals.
Copyright of our plans (including all text and images appearing in this work) is owned by STANLEY SmallCraft, and all rights in relation to all such material are reserved. No material appearing in the works may be modified, reproduced or transmitted in any form or medium (whether known now or not) or by any means without written permission from STANLEY SmallCraft, except for use by end users accessing this work for purely personal, non-commercial purposes and the reproduction on screen or printed off by such persons for the purposes intended by the plans. Written permission must also be obtained from STANLEY SmallCraft before any of this work is stored, copied for anything but the personal use (however temporarily) in a retrieval system of any kind other than as previously stated. THE PLANS ARE NOT FOR RESALE AND ARE NOT TO BE RESOLD OR GIVEN AWAY
For security purposes, we do not share, with anyone, any of the details you provide us to get your plans to you such as address or email etc. We have to take your address details as part of the secure order system but we do not keep any address details and as your order is processed they are permanently deleted. We do now keep a record of email addresses for a period of at least 1 year. This is so we can contact you if necessary with any updates etc. THIS IS NOT USED TO SEND MARKETING EMAILS. You have to sign up to receive them.
We have absolutely no access to your bank or card details when you use the secure payment system. We are simply notified that a payment has been received.
We use PayPal to accept payments as we try to keep our costs down and, therefore, our prices. You DO NOT have to have a PayPal account nor do you have to sign up for one to buy from us. When you get to the PayPal page, if you do not have a PayPal account or don't want to set one up, please click on "PayPal Secure Payments" (top right) to go straight through to payment by credit/debit card.
